AlmaAd had been pushing creative boundaries in multicultural advertising for over two decades — their work for brands like McDonald's, Netflix, Pepsi, Sprint, and Clorox spoke for itself. What they were missing was a digital presence that could match it. That's where I came in.
As the agency's first female Latina lead web developer, I took on the challenge of building a website that could genuinely reflect the caliber and culture of their work. The project started with a clear problem to solve: AlmaAd had no online presence capable of showcasing their portfolio at the level their clients deserved. My answer was a custom WordPress theme — designed and built from the ground up — that was fully responsive across desktop and mobile, and crafted to put their creative output front and center.
I handled every layer of the build myself, from theme architecture and custom template development to front-end coding in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, content integration, and performance optimization. Every technical decision was made in service of one goal: creating a site that felt as dynamic and culturally sharp as the agency behind it. The finished website gave AlmaAd a digital home worthy of their reputation — a platform that showcased twenty-plus years of boundary-pushing work, positioned them as a leader in the multicultural advertising space, and opened the door to the next generation of clients.
